The Enig-Matic was an internal project at Digital Kitchen where the team repurposed a vending machine, turning it into a riddle machine, which gave out prizes if the selected riddle was answered correctly on the machine’s accompanying website.
I was brought in once a case study began developing for the machine. Our goal was to create a case study that showed off the “magic” of APIs, technology, and the human experience coming together, which led to tarot cards becoming one of the main elements we developed. My involvement included the art direction of the cards as well as the production of the vector artwork of three of the tarot cards. These illustrations were then turned into rubber stamps and printed on card stock.
