My goal with this poster was to devise a way to integrate a digital painting with design/typography. The composition was created in pencil, which then was scanned into Photoshop and painted with a Wacom drawing tablet. The typography was based off a font and then manipulated and personalized in Illustrator.
Conceptually, this is meant to be seen as a symbolic piece that pays homage to the movie, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” as well as the poem, “Eloisa to Abelard” by Alexander Pope. Symbolism has always been an element that I like to add to my works because it adds another layer that rewards viewers that look beyond the surface.
