This vector portrait is an early example of when I began to truly push myself technically in my digital works.

The idea behind this piece was to create a vector portrait that integrated an allegory of nature in the woman’s hair. My approach to this was to focus on the idea of the intricacy of nature, as represented by the meticulously placed strands of hair. While the line work is clearly the focus, I decided to export the vector into Photoshop to create the subtle addition of watercolor, which added just the right amount of interest without being distracting.
