So, this one time I entered this still life oil painting from my introductory oil painting class into our school’s semester art show. The funny thing was I didn’t know what to title it, so I obviously I went with the most pretentious of names and called it “Movement in Blue and Orange”, inspired by James Whistler (one of my favorite painters).

What was great, and awful, was that this painting actually got an award for “Best in Painting” and I had to walk up like the pretentious oaf I appeared to be as its title was called out. Good going, Josh.
